International Conference on Sustainable Development in Electronics and Computing is a research conference organised by Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering & Computer Science Engineering of Assam Engineering College jointly with the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering of Gauhati University. The primary vision of the conference is to help bridge the gap between sustainability and innovation.
Conference theme
CoSDEC 2024 aims to highlight the importance of research primarily in the field of semiconductors and digital platforms, seeking a sustainable future. It seeks to provide a worldwide platform to researchers far and beyond by bringing to them the plethora of researcher and their lineage of work in the fields of computing, semiconductors, Artificial Intelligence, and communication technologies. Taking into consideration the onset of the shortage in production of semiconductor chipsets, it aims to bring together a culmination of pioneering research so as to utilise the limited resources in the most efficient way possible and alleviate issues pertaining to it.
Objectives
- To contribute to the development, progress and welfare of societies by disseminating technological knowledge and experience.
- To provide a prestigious international forum for specialist presentations and interactions in one or more areas of Engineering and Technology with in its tracks through papers, exhibitions, plenary talk, tutorials, etc.
- To encourage the study and discussion of technology and technological applications in a broad social, political and human context.
- The essential objective of the conference is to assist the researchers in discovering global networks for future joint efforts.

Assam Engineering College
Assam Engineering College, the edifice that stands tall with dignity because of the plethora of engineers that has graduated from its mainspring, since its foundation in 1955, has been the premier institute in North East, regarding this field and has been celebrated for the same. The college provides Bachelor degrees (B-TECH) in eight fields mainly- Mechanical, Civil, Electronics and Telecommunications, Electrical, Chemical, Instrumentation, Computer Science & Engineering and Industrial & Production.
Department of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering and Computer Science & Engineering
The department of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering was established in the year 1983. The department is affiliated with Gauhati University prior to getting affiliated with Assam Science and Technology University (ASTU) in the year 2017. The department holds an NBA accreditation.
Gauhati University
Gauhati University, established in 1948, is one of the oldest premier institutions of higher education in Northeast India. The university is actively involved in research activities across different fields and has research facilities that cater to diverse areas of study such as biotechnology, environmental science, rural development and more. Gauhati university has been actively engaged with the local community through various outreach programs, social initiatives with governmental and NGOs. The university is accredited with an "A" grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council.
Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering
The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering was established under Faculty of Technology, Gauhati University during the year 2009-2010, primarily to offer B.Tech and M.Tech programmes.
